BANA Listserv to Continue!
After a flame-up in early November, resulting in hurt and angry neighbors, discontinuance of the BANA email listserv was considered. However, the Board of Directors decided to continue it provided the following notice is posted to the listserv at the first of each month.
Listserv Manager Betty Danley and President Jay Atkins discuss the future of the BANA listserv.
BANA Listserv Rules
1. Post friendly messages only.
2. Limit messages to neighborhood concerns.
3. Do not post angry replies or accusations.
4. Do not post personal messages to the listserv.
5. Do not post political or religious messages.
6. Do not post chain letters.
7. Do not post commercial ads.

Listserv to be Partially Moderated From Here On
The BANA listserv has been unmoderated since its inception in November, 2005.
As discussion about the listserv continued, Joy Freeman suggested that it be partially moderated and that anyone who violated the new listserv rules be removed.
To this end, Ms. Freeman proposed that two notices be added to the bottom of each listserv message: (1) BANA is not responsible for the content of any message posted to the listserv and (2) that BANA reserves the right to remove anyone who violates the listserv rules. Both measures were adopted by the board.

Funds for Repair of the
Pulaski County Jail Roof
On a motion by BANA First Vice President Jeff Whitby, the board approved a motion to contribute $100 for repair of the roof of the Pulaski County Jail, contingent on approval by the general membership of the association at the March 8th BANA spring meeting and also being matched by $100 in contributions from Briarwood individuals.
Information on the jail repair can be found here. Jeff Whitby stated contributions are tax deductible. All individuals who elect to contribute monies direct to the jail fund before the March meeting are asked to advise Betty Danley at edanley1@comcast.net of the date and amount of their contribution.
