Proposed Fairhills Circle Plans

Above is an architectural rendering of the townhome duplexes originally proposed by Chandler Johnson Homes for Fairhills lot #32 (re-platted as lots #32-A and #32-B). Each unit was to be 18½ feet wide by 29 or 30 feet deep, giving a little over 550 square feet per story, and came with two parking spaces plus a tiny patio measuring 5-feet x 8-feet (only one foot wider than a standard sidewalk). The duplexes did not have garages or attached carports. To date, we have not seen a drawing of the patio homes shown on the revised plan proposed in August.

Above is the original plat of the two townhouse duplexes (four living units) proposed for Fairhills lot #32 (re-platted as lots #32-A and #32-B). Each lot measures approximately 60-ft by 120-ft. There are no garages or carports. Fairhills Circle is on a steep hill and parking space is scarce. Development of lot #32-B would do away with the two parking spaces shown in picture 8 on the webpage at http://www.briarwoodlr.org/003a-fairhills.html. Because of the steepness of the hill (see picture 10 on the above webpage), there is no parking on the street. One question that arose was, where would the residents put their garbage carts and recycling bins for pickup?

Above is the revised plat plan for the three patio homes now proposed for Fairhills lot #32 (re-platted as lots #32-A and #32-B). We have not yet seen a representation of what the patio homes look like, but patio homes #2 and #3 are reduced in size from the duplex townhomes to approximately 1,000 sq. ft. each. To accommodate the patio homes, the number of parking spaces has been cut from eight to four (possibly five, if someone parks in front of patio home #1. Again, no garages or carports are shown. The primary problem on Fairhills Circle is parking space. If three couples were to move into the three new homes, each person with a car, they would have insufficient space to park. And, they would never be able to entertain or have friends over!
